Cool under fire

No one can deny that Eric Mangini is sitting on a hot seat now, so we must admit that he is good at acting . He seemed pretty cool.

The result that whether he will be back as a coach for the secong season with the Cleveland Browns will be uncovered after meeting on Monday or Tuesday with new team president Mike Holmgren. The Browns have won three games into Sunday's season finale against Jacksonville. Mangini said he felt relaxed when he was not that focused and he just wanted to make some resolutions for New year's. He pretended to write a note. “Dear guys,” he said, scribbling an imaginary pen into the podium. “No bus rides to Hartford.”

He seemed as cool as a cucumber under fire. Whatever, I like the browns jerseys.

Holmgren needs more time

We all know the Super Bowl-winning coach in Green Bay--Holmgren has singned a five-year contract with Cleveland working as the team president. Now another coacn's fate is in his hands.

But Holmgren said he has not yet decided if coach Eric Mangini will return as Browns coach next year. He would not make a decision untill the end of this season. “It would be really unfair,” Holmgren said on a 25-minute conference call from Arizona. “He’s at the end of finishing his first season here and the team is doing well, clearly responding to him. That type of decision will be made once I get back there.” They had talked on the phone about other “football” issues, but nothing concerned the coach’s future.

To Holmgren, he just want all the guys with browns jersey could try their best to play well.

Houston's offense

Houston only got one touchdown this weekend fighting with St Louis during their four trips.

Some fans criticized Houston's performance beat the lowly Rams which just won once to 16-13. Coach Gary Kubiak was not care about those opinions. “There’s no such thing as an ugly win,” he said. “A win’s a win. I don’t think we played down to anything. I just think we played sloppy. We gave our opponent a chance.” “We’re struggling to run the ball and the field gets smaller down there, so coverage gets tougher, so that’s adding to it,” Kubiak said. “But I don’t think it was the deciding factor on why we were 1 for 4 (Sunday). I think we still could have been effective.”

Houston need to make their offense more active. All the fans want to see more engetics players shining their texans jerseys.

Big changes for Browns

The Browns announced that they hire former Seahawks and Packers head coach Mike Holmgren as the team president Monday.

“We are pleased to announce that Mike Holmgren has agreed to join the Cleveland Browns,” Browns owner Randy Lerner said Monday in a statement released by the club. “We will spend the rest of the week finalizing the details of the agreement and will make a formal announcement next week, at which time we will make him available to the media.” At very beginning,Holmgren will not coach the Browns according to ESPN.

Holmgren refused the offer from Seattle on Saturday. Now the dudes with browns jerseys will see the actions fo their new president.

Cowboys have a big win

Tony Romo and the Dallas Cowboys refreshed after a wild Saturday night in New Orleans and showed their new outlook on things.

The Cowboys erased the three-game losing streak and won plyoff chances totally. The most important thing is that they got rid of as December choke artists.Despite opening the month with back-to-back losses, the Cowboys can have a winning record in December/January for the first time since 1996 by winning their final two games. “We’ve got to come into the next game ready and focused,” safety Ken Hamlin(notes) said. “It’s a big win, but it won’t mean nothing if we lose the next one.”

All the guys with dallas cowboys jerseysstill need to win next game to hold their reputation.

Houston focused on rookie Foster

Houston has troubled in the rungame all season and starter Steve Slaton being put on the reserve list last week.

Now the Houston focused on rookie Arian Foster. He practiced much of the season. He is expected to play a big game on Sunday against St. Louis.“He’s got a long way to go,” coach Gary Kubiak said. “He did some good things the other day, but he needs to practice better than he did (Thursday). He’s a … little inconsistent, but he’s got a lot of talent and he’s getting an opportunity here and he needs to understand how important this opportunity he is getting is.”Foster said he knew Kubiak was unhappy with him and he needed more improve. He said he had a couple of mental errors so he has to overcome this.

Foster will wear his No.37 texans jersey

Holmgren still talking with Browns

Mike Holmgren and Eric Mangini kept their situation:the former stayed unemployed and the latter stayed on his job,and of course the Cleveland Browns were still at six and seven.

They waere searching for a leader to run their football operations, and they continued talked with Holmgren who was the former coach Seattle and Green Bay.H was successful being picked by owner Randy Lerner and they had a meeting at the team’s suburban headquarters.Despite the lengthy stay, there was no indication that a deal was imminent.Lerner mailed to The Associated Press just said they were still talking but no specifics.Mangini told WTAM that he had a ton of respect for Mike and they will see where it went.

I like browns jerseys.Hope the owner can find a leader who is serious and credible.

Saints fly high when Reggie Bush explode

Pierre Thomas looked at his right shoulder teammate Reggie Bush laughing and saying "No, no. That’s his style."

Thomas was mentioning the Bush Leap.In Sunday's 26-23 victory against the Falcons, one of Bush's two touchdowns came via his signature move.Thomas ,Mike Bell and Lynell Hamilton and Bush in the Saints' deep."We can’t do everything he does," Thomas said as he cracked a smile. "He’s got his own unique style. Everybody’s got his own unique style, and that’s his style. He’s good at that, and he gets it done."Bush is in his fourth NFL season. He was abscent from two games and returned last week.He got six carried for 33 yards, six receptions for 46 yards and 2 TDs against the Falcons.

Bush's TD contributes the Saints' first TD, on a pass from Drew Brees. Bush will not that easy to get a 21yard TD that easy.wish this guy with No.25saints jerseycould do his best.

Two tough road games for Bengals

The Cincinnati Bengals' tough time is coming.

The Bengles had won two of three games during a stretch of games against tough teams(including a 23-13 victory on Sunday over the Detroit Lions) which strengthened their winning record in 19 years. Now there are two tiger teams are on the road:Minnesota and San Diego. If they want to work against those first-place teams, they must bring the level of play that got them through the last three up to a new layer.Quarterback Carson Palmer said if there’s anything they’re guilty of, it’s playing to the level of their opponents.

It's true that when you've played good teams, you've played better.Difficult jobs is waiting for these guys with bengals jersey.

Colts welcome back DE Freeney

Indianapolis Colts defensive end Dwight Freeney is excited and active to be started, but the team has disappointed by left tackle Charlie Johnson for Sunday's game against the Tennessee Titans.

Former starter Tony Ugoh did not practice all the week due to a foot injury, so he is very player to be expected to replace Johnson. There are also some other guys are questionable ,such as running back Donald Brown, defensive lineman Keyunta Dawson, defensive back Aaron Francisco, wide receiver Anthony Gonzalez, tight end Tom Santi and kicker Adam Vinatieri.

So this guy 's back with his 93colts jersey is very timely.

Is Willis helpful?

The Seahawks say goodbye to the playoffs again.Yet Patrick Willis thinks they have much to do against San Francisco.Matt Hasselbeck’s broken ribs.

“I don’t think they’ve forgotten about it,” the 49ers’ thudding linebacker said of the hit at the goal line he put on Hasselbeck Sept. 20. It sent this three-time ProBowl passer with No.52seahawks jersey to Stanford Medical Center in an ambulance amid fears he had lung or heart issues.“They are going to try to come at me,” Willis said.Hasselbeck just shook his head and laughed at that.“If my teammates liked me more, maybe,” the three-time Pro Bowl passer joked. “They probably don’t even remember (the play).”

We will wait and see whether it's helpful or not.

Jaguars Mathis won't back recently

Jaguars cornerback Rashean Mathis is back to the field this week.Moving, shuffling.
He said he feels good but Jaguars coach Jack Del Rio did not think so.Del Rio deceided to fight with the Houston Texans without their top defensive back and their top rival is All-Pro wide receiver Andre Johnson."There's no sense in dragging that out," Del Rio said Wednesday. "He's just not ready to go yet. We'll take another peek and hope for next week. He is running and starting to move around and bring himself back. At a skill position like that, he's going to need to show that over a little bit of time before we can put him out there."Mathis who owns the franchise record for interceptions, got his groin injured when they fight with New York Jets last month.
They push rookie Derek Cox and second-year pro Tyron Brackenridge into Mathis' position to decrece the damage of losing Mathis.

Roethlisberger is good

Ben Roethlisberger experienced the most terrible time of his NFL career one week after undergoing a a concussion in 2006.He got four concussions in four years that seems a little uncommonly high number even for an NFL player.
Regardless, the Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback is going through “a normal week” of preparation for a pivotal game at Baltimore on Sunday night and has every intention of playing.“It’s part of the nature of the beast of playing this game. It’s a violent, physical contact sport and there’s a chance you’re going to get hit,” Roethlisberger said Thursday. “You guys don’t talk about the bruises we have all over our body. If I showed you a bruise on my shoulder and a bruise on my shin, it wouldn’t get talked about as much. It’s a violent sport we play.”
WHile Ben Roethlisberger feels confident with his health.

Jets: WR Clowney lost his Twitter

The New York Jets claims that wide receiver David Clowney’s Twitter account has been accessed by some one who poured lots of strange tweets onto the internet.
According to the statement Jets isseud,a “rogue tweeter” was delivering a piece of rude message under Clowney’s account. Clowney, who has more than 6,700 followers, was not available for comment. But We do not know it's true or faluse. To Clowney, may it's more easy to fight with the jets jersey than to keep his twitter account safe.
Clowney, as a frequent poster, had a serior of the same Twitter-related troubles before. He has been benched by coach Rex Ryan for one game when he confessed that he had posted he was not satisfised with the team against New England in Week 2.

Packers lose Harris, Kampman the same time

Two king guys of Green Bay Packers got injuries during Sunday’s victory over San Francisco and could not wear the packers jersey for a long time.
Coach Mike McCarthy said the knee injuries to cornerback Al Harris and outside linebacker Aaron Kampman“did not look very good” and were cause for concern.McCarthy said the team would have more definitive information Monday. All the coaches may spend lots of time day and night to figure out what they will do for the two lost. Some one said Harris’ season is over.He was injured in the fourth quarter and the carted to the locker room.Kampman's left knee was buckled in the third quarter and also was taken to the locker romm by a cart.

concussions protection

Nate Burleson has experienced a lot of concussions once he joined the NFL.
“After your head hits the ground you don’t always remember what’s happened,” the Seahawks’ veteran wide receiver said. “I’ve had six or seven since I’ve been in the league. It feels like I’ve had more, but I haven’t always told the trainers so I could keep playing.”
His teamates Josh Wilson and Marcus Trufant being knocked last weekend. Both starting cornerbacks returned to finish the loss at Arizona, then were diagnosed with concussions.
Wilson is still absent of the practice .He is questionable to play Sunday at Minnesota, leaving Kelly Jennings the likely starter.
All the team may has a doctor who is good at brain trauma and now some teams is improving diagnosing head injuries. But the Seahawks is the first team to do this.
“We have probably the finest doctor in the United States in Stan Herring, in terms of those situations,” Seahawks coach Jim Mora said Friday, after Wilson missed his third consecutive practice.
I think all the players and officals must pay more attention to concussions.

Two straight wins for the Chiefs

The Struggling Chiefs are really need the wins. It's true.
Haley’s grueling maiden voyage as a head coach in the NFL was filled with failure, controversy, frustration and setback.
While Tomlin found a shoe which is very suit to his feet in Pittsburgh. He won the AFC North his first season and the Super Bowl his second.
Tomlin takes bows. Haley takes shots.
Haley was being blamed by some disgruntled fans of being ignorant and abusive, an arrogant hothead.
“This is a hard job. It’s a big job and I’m finding my way through it,” Haley said. “I would hope that nobody thinks that I’m arrogant in going about the job. I’m fighting for my life, to be honest, and that’s the way I feel each and every day.”
Wish Haley can go through the trouble smoothly and the men with the chiefs jerseys

Titans start new streak

Chris Johnson runs past defenders even though Vince Young tackled powefully.Tennessee now get two straight wins.
The Titans sure hope that this is a new start for the team which started 10-0 last season and 0-6 this season.
“Guys feel rejuvenated, guys are happy about what we’ve done over the last two weeks,” veteran center Kevin Mawae said Monday. “Things kind of snowballed on us the first six weeks of the season, but we overcame that. We’re starting to overcome the penalties and starting to overcome the things that don’t go our way.”
The Titans only got 8 sacks and 5interceptions in the two wins after the bye.“We’re making these happen,” Fisher said. “They didn’t happen before. Those balls hit the ground and now we’re catching them. We just have to continue.
Young thought the two wins were big.“The way we started, it was bad. How we’re coming together as a team and coaching staff and everybody’s starting to believe and get the momentum,” he said.
I prefer to titans jerseys.

Brady-Moss combo overcomes wildcat

After catching a short pass over the middle ,Moss sped to a 71-yard touchdown.
“That’s like getting stabbed in the heart right there,” Patriots guard Logan Mankins(notes) said. “You grind it out for like 10 minutes and finally score, and then in like a minute and a half we come right back.”“It was tough for us. The offense had just come off of a great drive,” Miami linebacker Jason Taylor said, “but Randy Moss made a play … what he’s done for a million years.”
“That’s Randy Moss,” said Davis, who also intercepted Brady’s pass toward Moss on the Patriots’ first series. “He’s going to make his plays and I just tried to limit him the best I could.”
Miami now is very familar with the wildcat formation.running back Ronnie Brown said it was much better that day ,but in crucial situations they have to make the big play.
Randy Moss and Tom Brady cooperated very well .By the way, their dolphins jerseys.

Tomlin stimulates his players

coach Mike Tomlin did as a nagger recently .He told his players "the Broncos is the world's best defense".It had been mentioned in the weekly team meeting. He seems to repeat it untill the game starting.
“We’ve heard coach Tomlin say it 1,000 times already this week,” quarterback Ben Roethlisberger said. “They’re a great defense, a big challenge for us … an awesome challenge.”Tomlin wants to stimulate both his offense and his defense. “They’ve put in a very aggressive style of defense,” Steelers offensive coordinator Bruce Arians said. “They changed to a system very much like ours and Baltimore’s. They’ve got the personnel to run it right now.”
The Broncons failed to do that during the sunday loss to Baltimore, which let Tomlin also talk it to his players.“I just think the Denver Broncos ran into a buzzsaw,” Tomlin said.
The Patriots had experienced a successful game against Pittsburgh with spread-type formations.
It seems Tomlin expects much with these steelers jerseys.

Falcons want to win

The Atlanta Falcons really want to show their value and get rid of the gloomy past. The losing treak is too horrible and it's the time to end it.
They lost two games from Mike Smith’s two years as coach time.“You don’t ever want to have losing streaks,” receiver Roddy White said. “It can head south real fast.”
But someone said that Falcons had a customized opponent for returning to winning treak.Team Dysfunction, a.k.a. the Redskins.“Our season is not over,” running back Clinton Portis(notes) insisted. “The same way we got into this mess, we can get ourselves out of this mess.”
It's lucky that Redskins had a bye week then."the bye came at just the right time, giving us a chance to regroup from the dismal start."Zorn said.“It was good for a lot of the players and even the coaches just to get a breather, regroup, study schemes and tendencies,” he said. “The whole being 2-5 and being able to soul-search a little bit. Our players have done a wonderful job of practicing with enthusiasm. It shows the character of our football team. We don’t want to lose, and our guys are fighting hard to get that next win.”
Now The Falcons face the same problem.Wish the falcons jerseys can be glorious again.

Lions are trying their best

Calvin Johnson still cant wear his lions jersey,Jim Schwartz still worried about the offense.
Though Johnson is not Detroit’s only offensive weapon,he cant be replaceable at least at the moment.
“Calvin affects the coverages we see and everything that teams do against us, because they always have to account for him,” Schwartz said Monday. “That’s true of every great player. For Minnesota, Adrian Peterson is a great running back that opens up the passing game because teams have to focus on him. Calvin does that for us.”
The Lions get only one touchdown and Johnson missed it with a knee injury
According to the statistics collected by the the coaching staff, among the six drops by Detroit receivers, five of them were dropped in the first half.“This is the first game where we have consistently had drops,” Schwartz said.
All the members are trying their best to update their offense.

Slaton was benched

Houston Texans running back Steve Slaton was given a nick name of Fumbling Slaton. He has fumbled the ball for 7 times this season. He receiced an ofcourse benching ticket.
Ryan Moats who has replaced his position scored three touchdowns in one game. It's really fantastic. Moats got 126 rushing yards and 25 receiving yards in the Texans' 31-10 road victory over the Buffalo Bills. This five-year veteran starten his job in a good condition.
It's definitely frustrating," said Slaton, who rushed for a team-high 1,282 yards as a rookie last season and fumbled just three times in 16 games. "You always want to be out there and help your team win. But I mean, my team needed me to support. So I gave 100 percent support."
Slaton tried his best but itwas ended by Bills linebacker Paul Posluszny.Slaton is the best back they have regardless of the fumbles.
In my opinion, this man with texans jersey will adjust himself better in the near future.

Wayne, Freeney was expected

The Indianapolis Colts may feel some piece of joyce recently. they have some good news.
Two king guys will come back to join the game against the San Francisco 49ers.Wide receiver Reggie Wayne and defensive end Dwight Freeney are both practiced on Friday. they will wear their colts jerseys to fight with the 49ers.
Foster, tight end Jacob Tamme and the rookie Donald Brown are onte doubtful list.Quarterback Peyton Manning and Safety Bob Sanders will start in this game.
last Sunday Freeney damage himself against St. Louis but the effects did not come out untill
Monday morning.“I’ll be out there (Sunday). My knee was a little stiff this week, but it has to be real serious for me (to miss a game),” he said. “I’ve got the swelling down now, so I should be all right.”
Running back Chad Simpson and starter Joseph Addai will step in if If Brown doesn’t play.“What we do with them is let Joe take as many of (rushing attempts) as he wants, and when he wants to come out of there, we relieve him at that time,” coach Jim Caldwell said. “(Hart) is a possibility. He’s been working in practice, and he’s certainly ready to go.”

2009年10月29日星期四

The Indianapolis Colts are ready

Yes, they are ready.but, but it couldn’t come at a better time.
They spend four of the first six games on the road, including back-to-back trips to Miami and Arizona.
“We knew it would be very tough because it was very unusual,” coach Jim Caldwell said Monday. “We had to deal with different time zones, extensive travel, different weather and the guys did a good job. I think we were well prepared and we adapted very well.”
Actually, the Colts really did a good job.
They are off to their fourth 6-0 start in five seasons, are one of three remaining undefeated teams in the league and can extend their franchise-record winning streak to 16 regular-season games Sunday against San Francisco. Caldwell has matched the best six-game record for a rookie head coach since the 1970 merger, and three-time MVP Peyton Manning(notes) is now on pace for his second season with 40 touchdown passes. But what Indy has done is the most remarkable.Indy has also beaten three division champs from 2008—Miami, Arizona and Tennessee—all on the road. Two of the Colts’ other opponents, Jacksonville and Seattle, reached the divisional round of the playoffs in 2007.
Caldwell adapted by using the training camp schedule to prepare the Colts for their opening stretch and then altering the practice schedule when necessary to keep players fresh.
Colts players will also have some further motivation for winning starting next week:Win and take an extra day off.

Braylon Edwards's impulsion

someone has said:"Impulsion is an evil." Former Browns wide receiver Braylon Edwards approved it.
He punched a man outside a Cleveland nightclub so then he has been charged with misdemeanor assault over accusations which stop his trade to the New York Jets.
Edwards is charging with punching promoter Edward Givens, whom is the firend of NBA star LeBron James . they had an argument on the sidewalk outside View Ultralounge & Nightclub on Prospect Avenue. James called the NFL players are jealous of him and his firends.
Edward was in the final year of the contract with the Cleveland. He criticized the team’s play-calling, argued with teammates and famously took a helicopter to the Ohio State-Michigan game in 2006 despite being told not to go.Edwards was also out partying in March with teammate Donte’ Stallworth, who later that night struck and killed a a 59-year-old pedestrian while driving drunk in Miami. Stallworth is suspended for the season. For this time incident ,Edwards also faces possible punishment from the NFL for violating the league’s personal conduct policy.

Haley was ripped by Johnson with homophobic slur

When all the social media analysts wondered aloud who would be the first highly visible athlete to take a major public misstep with his Twitter account ,Kansas City Chiefs running back Larry Johnson appeared to answer that question in a big way.Johnson’s exact Twitter messages, in chronological order:
• “my father got more creditentials than most of these pro coaches. … google my father!!!!!!!”
• “My father played for the coach from “rememeber the titans”. Our coach played golf. My father played for redskins briefley. Our coach. Nuthn”(Johnson's father, Larry Johnson Sr., a onetime Washington Redskins player and the current defensive line coach for the Penn State Nittany Lions.)However,Johnson’s agent, Peter Schaffer, told ESPN.com :"I talked to Larry about it and he was focusing more on pumping up his father than anything else;He wasn’t trying to downgrade anyone … yes, everyone is frustrated after a loss like this but I wouldn’t put too much into it.”

Running more frequently

A guy in Yahoo said teams can stay in good shape by running more frequently. And top five teams and bottom five teams in the NFL are listed to approve his point. The top five are Arizona, San Francisco, Denver, Miami and Tennessee and the bottom five are Buffalo, Carolina, Houston, Cleveland and Tampa Bay.According to the chart he posted on the web,we can see the details. I have to admire his carefulness. If nothing else, rushing attempts seems a better predicator of success than sheer rushing success. In my opinion, the more active the team is, the more chance the team wins. But On the flip side, teams in a hole in a game often abandon the run.
